Pharm (Mrs) Bisi Bright – 1st Vice Chairman / CEO
Bisi Bright is a Consultant Clinical Pharmacist and Public Health Manager. A Fellow of both the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria and the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists (WAPCP), she also holds a Masters’ in Public Health. She is immediate past Secretary General of the College WAPCP and is currently the 1st Vice Chairman and CEO of LiveWell Initiative LWI. With over 60 published articles some of which are in peer-reviewed journals, she has won several awards among which are the Surgimed Shield Award (University of Zimbabwe) and the Wall Street Journal/CNBC Complimentary Delegateship to the World Health Congress (USA). She is a two-time International Membership Award winner of the IATDM/CT (International Association of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Clinical Toxicology). A Director of the Federal Medical Centre Azare and former Council Member of the Pharmacists’ Council of Nigeria, she serves on the National Health Promotion Committee of government. As representative of Africa and the Middle East on the FIP PI Executive Committee she was appointed to the FIP ‘Patients as Partners’ Working Group; and more recently, to the FIP Working Group on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health MNCH. She has mentored many young professionals and internees, the most recent being the 8 LWI graduands of the prestigious LBS EDS programme 2010 and the mentoring of over 40 Babcock University public health internees and an internee from Des Monies University, Iowa USA.
Dr Agathe Wehrli – 2nd Vice Chairman
Agathe Wehrli has worked in the WHO Pharmacy Department in Geneva for over 30 years. After her retirement she set up and is still running Pharmabridge, a project aimed at strengthening pharmacy services in developing countries supported by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). She is secretary of the FIP Pharmacy Information Section and as such ex officio member of the FIP Board of Pharmacy .Practice. She holds honorary membership of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP), the Commonwealth Pharmaceutical Association (CPA) and FIP.
She has an honorary Doctorate of Science from the University of Bradford, UK.
Mr Tayo Bright – Member
Mr Bright, an alumnus of the University of Ibadan; is an experienced marketing consultant and a Fellow of the Institute of Marketing. With over twenty five years experience in the Unilever Conglomerate; he was able to turn around the marketing structures within the organization. He has carved his niche in the profession; impacting the African, Middle East and Asian regions.
He was past president of the AIESEC Alumni International in Nigeria; and, he is well traveled. No doubt an authority in Marketing; and, a man of impeccable integrity; his experience will be brought to bear in the service-oriented outreach-focused programs of the LWI.
Mrs Bukky Ogunsakin – Member
Bukky is a law graduate of OAU, Ile-Ife.. She ‘cut her teeth’ at Banwo & Ighodalo (B & I); a blue-chip law firm; during which time she had ample opportunities to represent B & I in its capacity of company secretary, at companies’ Annual General Meetings.
An Alumnus of AIESEC; she was a past vice president of her university’s chapter of AIESEC.
She obtained a diploma in small and medium enterprise management from Georgia, USA and an additional diploma in event planning from Boston and thereafter studied for a Masters’ degree in Project Management in MN, USA
She is currently engaged by the Wells Fargo USA, Mortgage Bank as Project Advisor.
Mrs Molly Nyagura – Member
Molly; an alumnus of the University of Zimbabwe; is a renowned administrator and publisher with the Zimbabwean Publishing Company ZPH..She has had several years of experience at the top management level; and has been involved in organizing the globally acknowleged Zimbabwe Book fair for years.
In addition, she has been involved in language translations with the Bible Society of Zimbabwe; and other initiatives which would facilitate communication with grassroot populations.
She currently sits atop the ZPH as General Manager of the company.
Mr Edward Amporful – Member
Well-versed in presentation and communication skills and dynamics; Edward is a Consultant Clinical Pharmacist and a Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Pharmacists. A dynamic facilitator, he has experience in advocacy and outreaches.
He has presented papers at international fora; and, he is the head of Pharmacy in Ghana’s Cocoa Clinic.His niche has been carved out in clinical pharmacy and therapeutics.
Dr. Jim Rice – Advisor
Dr James A. Rice, Ph.D., FACHE, is well known for his international leadership development work at Cambridge University’s International Health Leadership Programme, as Senior Associste, Judge Business School, and as Vice chairman of The Governance Institute and a former Senior Officer in the Minneapolis-based Allina, Inc. Dr. Rice’s facilitation and advisory experience is focused on strategic planning for enhanced governance by boards and their committees, strengthening board–CEO relations, managing philanthropy trends and best practices, leading governance model and infrastructure redesign, and harnessing the Internet for enhanced board work.
He has received the University of Minnesota School of Public Health Distinguished Alumni Leadership Award; a National Institute of Health Doctoral Fellowship; the Corning Award for excellence in hospital planning.He has been consultant to physician groups, boards of directors, and health sector leaders in over 30 countries.
