Day 3: April 27th 2017: Solid Minerals Day at GHB2017: with the sub-theme ‘Extractive Industry as a powerful to the predominant Hydrocarbon Sector in Emerging Economies’. This sub-theme focused on the Solid Minerals and the mining sector of the economy.
All Speakers, Special Guests, VIP, Delegates were all welcomed by CEO/1st Vice Chairman LiveWell Initiative LWI, Pharm Bisi Bright after the LWI Officers made a rendition of their anthem.
The Keynote lecture of the day was delivered by Chief Guest of Honor and Past President of the Nigeria Mining and Geo-sciences Society Prof Omar Rahman titled. Creating Shared Value as Essential Tool for Enhanced Corporate Sustainability’. The scope of the lecture covered the history of mining activities in Nigeria, its impact on the environment and how mining can be done in a environmentally sustainable way. The plenary session took place after the speeches and presentations on the theme of the day and it was moderated by Mr Nelson Ayaebene of TVContinental Africa. Members of the panel included Prof Omar Rahman and Mr James Ogunleye.
The afternoon session of the final day of #GHB2017 was the Maternal, Neonatal and Child Healthcare Confrence (MNCH) and it kicked off kicked with a presentation titled “Neonatal Chlorexidine Gel..The only one in Africa” by Founder/CEO OF Drugfield Pharmaceuticals Limited Pharm Kunle Ekundayo ably represented by Marketing and Sales Director Pharm Michael Odeniran.The presentation laid emphasis on Chlorexidine Gel, a Neonatal drug which is solely produced in Nigeria by Drugfield Pharmaceuticals Limited but is saving the lives of children all over Africa.
