LiveWell Initiative LWI  runs a children and mothers medical fair for Golden Bunch Schools, Okota in celebration of Children’s Day, May 27th 2013.

Our Children are our Future! This year’s children’s day was educational for both children and mothers of Golden Bunch Schools. A very unique lecture on ‘nutrition and wellness’ was delivered by LWI faculty officer, Pharm. Uloma Ubani-Ukoma. Prizes were won by children, who answered questions correctly. Latter, children and mothers participated in the handwashing technique session, which was delivered by LWI senior programme officer, Nnedimma Obi. The children learnt a lot and very so eager to practice their handwashing technique.

An LWI nurse, Mrs. Janet Yetunde Jacobson delivered a very interactive and eye-opening lecture on breast cancer awareness, detection and self-examination.

General basic screening and health counselling were carried out by trained LWI staffers, children were dewormed whilst non-prescription medications were dispensed by qualified LWI personnels.

Mother/Child Medical Fair was very impactful and memorable!
