In Nigeria, even globally, drug abuse has been a major epidemic plaguing youths. This form of addiction starts at a relatively young/adolescent age and proceeds onwards to adult-hood. LWI believes by reaching out to the young ones before the habit does, it would reduce the rate of addiction within the country.

One of its many outreaches was in a secondary school, called Doregos Academy. Where, with the aid of GTBank, LWI was able to present a talk to the students on the dangers of drug abuse, with a theme, titled, “Drug abuse= Prison or death”.

After the talks where done, teachers and staff of the school where given basic health screening, counselling and free drugs when needed.
