In LiveWell Initiative we believe that for the full development of any individual he or she should have the ability“learn, relearn and unlearn” .
To enforce this the LWI Academy organized 3-day training for its officers and volunteers from the 29th of November to the 1st of December 2016 at its operational office at Jabita court 136, Alake Onile-ere Crescent Gbagada Phase 2 Lagos.
The scope of the 3 day event covered courses for Healthcare Assistants (HCA), First Aid/CPR with American Red Cross Certification and Visual Inspection of the Cervix with Acetic Acid (VIA).
The aim of the HCA course is to train participants them updated on contemporary health issues and to make them to be able to carry out basic health vital screenings, the First Aid/CPR training is aimed at training the participants become first responders during accidents and emergencies and the objective of the VIA training is to detect cancerous changes caused by the Human-Papilloma Virus .
The trainees were glad to be equipped with skills which will enhance their careers and were grateful to the management of LWI for organizing the event.
