During the month of November 2012, LiveWell Initiative in collaboration with Stanbic IBTC Bank and PR Agency XLR8 Media recently carried out a health  fair for the staffers of  The Nation Newspapers, Punch Nigeria Limited, The Vanguard Newspapers and Businessday Newspapers at their corporate head offices in Lagos.

This programme was carried out to increase health literacy and awareness among journalists and workers in the print media and to positively influence to make them make better health and lifestyle choices.

The programme at each venue started with a lecture on “Executive Health” delivered pragmatically by members of the LWI Faculty. The scope of the lecture covered topic importance of monitoring basic health meters like BMI, Blood Sugar , Blood Pressure and cultivating good nutritional habits.

After the lecture there were basic medical services for the participants which consisted of Stress Test, Body Mass Index (BMI), Blood Pressure Screenings , Random Blood Glucose Screening, health counselling with dispensing of non prescription medicines.
